Today at ELITEAM… campers arrived ready to dig deep and Make It Count! We put those mottos to the test with 100 high knee tires, and a five station rotation in the afternoon which included: core, kettle bells, FitLight, a mental numbers game, and an obstacle course. After chowing down on some brussel sprouts, pasta and Red Hen Bakery bread rolls, campers were ready to take on the agility poles and relays… under a rainbow! 9:00pm lights out. Time to rest up for tomorrow.

How are you going to make it count this week?
Ben D. – Savor every moment of every day since it is my last year here as a camper.
Brian – Try my best and be serious.
Cailin – Pushing myself and not giving up.
Russell – I will make every practice and activity teach me something so it counts.
Charlie – Get good sleep.
Cody – By training every day like it is a race.

If you could tell your mom one thing this week, what would it be?

Cailin – Today was great.

Charlie – I’m all good.
Cody – I don’t miss you.
Ben H – I am sleeping in the basement.
Jackson L – Camp is fun.
Abi: I’m having fun- so don’t worry!
Ava: I miss you! Have fun at work 🙂
Anna: I miss you and love you, but I’m having so much fun!!
Lea: Can you smuggle me some chocolate or candy?
Coaches Highlights:
Doug – When told that their penalty was going to be 30 push-ups, one group demanded that it be 50!
Julia: I really enjoyed seeing how focused and determined campers were to push their limits and use heavier weights for the kettle bell station.
Ben: During the fit light, in boys against girls, the boys broke down the eight sensory lights into three sections Larry in the first section, Curly in the second and in the third Moe. The other boys on the team would call out which section the illuminated light was in to decrease time and increase efficiency. The girls team quickly caught onto this and started yelling out random names and directions. Cate referred to it as “good distraction training”.
