When I’m not coaching at ELITEAM, I’m dreaming of ELITEAM!!! I love the crazy relays, the obstacle courses, Sufferfest, the Sandpit SL and pond time. My favorite ELITEAM dance move is the “meat grinder”! My competitive background includes alpine skiing, soccer and softball. Sports have taught me to be confident, resilient and positive. My advice to young athletes is to believe in yourself… that will take you over the rainbow!

When I’m not at ELITEAM, I coach at Ford Sayre Academy. I love to hike, bike, run and play hockey. My goals this year are to run a half marathon, spend more time on my mountain bike, and work on my golf game. I’m unusually talented at hula-hooping and often fuel up with avocados and mangos.

I love to compete. In high school, I was a ski racer and played football and lacrosse. I continued with football at Plymouth State University. Now I am always on the lookout for ways to fuel my competitive spirit. Last winter I competed in the “Master of the Mountain” at Magic Mountain (half freeride, half GS race)… and won! Looking ahead, I’d like to compete in another Spartan Trifecta race with the goal of beating my previous times in all three events. One of my most memorable moments at ELITEAM was winning the Jello-Drop. It’s always a fierce and exciting competition! In hindsight, sports have taught me a lot. Hard work pays off. Always over-prepare so you are prepared for anything. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. Make sure you’re having FUN… and go big!

I work at Peak Performance Ski Shop in Killington, VT. In the winter, I ski as much as possible. In the summer, when I’m not coaching at ELITEAM, you’ll find me painting, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, hiking… and eating. I never stop eating.

I love the atmosphere at ELITEAM. The staff and campers all support each other. I am always inspired to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. In fact, I tried my very first taco ever at ELITEAM! In high school I was a ski racer and played field hockey and lacrosse. Sports have taught me that I can learn from a bad race or game, but not to let it affect my confidence. I encourage young athletes to always set a goal to work towards, find their passion, and to not compare themselves to others.

I’m a student at the University of Notre Dame. When I’m not at ELITEAM, I’m doing homework, puzzles, reading or exercising. My favorite power fuel is fruit and peanut butter!

Teddy Storrs

Coach, Staff since 2015
ELITEAM Camper for 6 years

As a coach, I encourage campers to push their limits. The campers are always tougher than they think.

I love ELITEAM because it taught me how the mental side of sports is equally important as the physical side. As a camper, I learned that practicing visualization and adapting to unforeseen circumstances on race day are valuable skills. At camp, I loved the ropes courses and funky dance. To this day, my favorite ELITEAM dance move is the flight attendant… the secret is in the knees! As a coach, I encourage campers to push their limits since the campers are tougher than they think they are. The best part of camp is Saturday when the parents see how much their kids have grown as athletes in just one week.

My favorite sports are rowing, road biking, and telemark skiing. When not at ELITEAM, you can find me at Colby College where I row for the Mules.

I loved the non-stop activity for six straight days as an ELITEAM camper. I remember falling asleep each day before my head hit the pillow. I have been a coach the last two years at ELITEAM and I try to pass along what I have learned from ELITEAM and Sport to the campers, like how to learn from and move on from mistakes or bad runs. Also, how important it is to enjoy every moment, even the ones where you struggle.

When not at ELITEAM, I’m pursuing my ski racing career at Colby College, and mtn biking, hiking and running all over the place.

My favorite part of coaching at ELITEAM is the energy that the campers bring to everything – from burpees to cooking Black Bean brownies, they give 100%. I was an ELITEAMer for four years before jumping at the chance to become part of the coaching staff. I try to teach the campers that you always need a plan, but that you have to adapt. On the field or on the course nothing ever goes smoothly all the time, but being able to adapt and roll with the changes will go a long way.

I grew up racing for the Mtn Washington Valley ski team as well as playing lacrosse and soccer in high school. I attend Northeastern University and try to ski, play hockey and workout as much as I can.

Carly Craft

Coach, Staff since

I love the overall vibe of ELITEAM. The energy that both the staff and campers exhibit is inspiring.

I love many things about ELITEAM, but the overall vibe of the camp is just inspiring. I’ve had many memorable moments at ELITEAM, but the everlasting friendships I have made stay with me the most. I’m a soccer player and ski racer. I have learned many things from both sports, however, the biggest thing I’ve learned is to be mentally tough. My advice to young athletes is to try everything. Don’t focus on just one sport. You never know the kind of joy you can find from other sports too!

When I’m not studying or playing soccer at Skidmore College, you’ll find me playing tennis, running and eating kale!

Celeste Graham

Coach, Staff since

I love that the experience of ELITEAM makes an active difference in an athlete's mindset.

I love sports! My competitive sports background includes ski racing, varsity cross country, varsity track, soccer, swimming, lacrosse and tennis. To become a better athlete, I’ve found it’s helpful to learn from those more advanced. My advice to young athletes is GO FOR IT! Try new sports, even if you think you will fail. You never know who you will meet and how enjoyable a new activity can become. At ELITEAM, I love seeing kids gain confidence in their athletic pursuits. To hear a camper say, “I can do this!” is always a memorable moment.

I’m a student at Dartmouth. When I’m not studying, mountain biking or kayaking, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, reading and playing with my dogs. I’m unusually talented at memorizing music lines and movie quotes. My goal this year is to get better at pull-ups and drop my 400m sprint time close to one minute.

In sports, I’ve learned that being successful means so much more than getting a win, and is often times the result of hard losses which intensify determination, perseverance, and hard work. My advice to young athletes is to be humble and train hard, harder than everyone else. Train yourself to want the things that don’t come easily to you and then be vigilant in learning how to surpass your goals. My favorite part of ELITEAM is the last day of camp, at the “ELITEAM Olympics”, when the campers get to come out and shine, and show their families how hard they’ve worked all week.

I’m an Athletic Trainer. I like hiking, biking and running. I am fueled by peanut butter and kale. This year I’d like to PR my half marathon time and I’d like to do more trails that scare me while mountain biking. When I’m not busy working with young athletes, without a doubt you will find me in the woods with my dog.

Kyle Brogan

Coach, Staff since

At ELITEAM, even cleaning dishes is fun!

My favorite moment at ELITEAM every year is getting to the top of mountain on our Adventure Hike. Even when you want to quit, you pick up something for your group and keep pushing. My competitive sports background includes lacrosse, ski racing, football and sailing. Sports have taught me about teamwork, putting others before myself, time management, communication, and perseverance. My advice to young athletes is keep having fun! Winning is great, but at the end of the day you have to be happy doing it.

My goals this year are to start lifting more and work on my agility. When I’m not in school, I like sailing and wood working. My fuel of choice is fruit. I’m unusually talented at catching Jello from high places. My motto in life… keep it positive!
