It was DH Mountain Bike day at ELITEAM where the Campers can push their limits on two wheels on Killington Mtn. Groups loaded the chairllifts and then rode the trails all day. There were lots of mental and technical breakthroughs – and a few tip-overs!
While one group was biking, the other was practicing their Ninja and High ropes skills. Coaches challenged the Campers to face their fears at 40 feet in the air – lots of beathing and focus were needed to let go of that safety rope!
After a full day, it was time to push our limits in the dining hall with our weird and healthy foods Taste Test. After learning about the health benefits of foods like Liver Pate, Kimchi, Fermented Seaweed, Sardines and Crickets, they all had to taste one of the foods. Lots of laughs and nerves and about half of the food ended up being spit in to the trash!?!??! However, some campers now enjoy Octopus!
And finally, it was time for our annual crazy Relays and Jello Drop. The Relays were absolute hilarity and sweat rolled into one while the Jello Drop was a tough battle with Christopher and Charlie crowned Champions!
Today is our annual SUFFERFEST and we will be back in the River for it. The water just makes Burpees more fun! We finish with a Zoom with Olympian Tricia Mangan before the Campers fall asleep in your cars!
