Today at ELITEAM we … started the morning with our daily jog & stretch, which was badly needed as most of us have muscles that are starting to feel the effects of a big and busy week. Fueled with whole grain pancakes, scrambled eggs and fresh berries, we transitioned seamlessly into the dreaded, yet oh so loved “Sufferfest” workout. Campers tested their limits with 100 burpees, 100 push-ups, 100 box-jumps, hill sprints, rock lunges, rock twists, and hundreds of tires. The intense heat added to our suffering, but we ended our grueling workout with a refreshing river walk and fun duckie race. Following lunch, campers slipped on their sandpit shoes and got ready to dig deep and run fast through the sandy gates. After a careful inspection run and three practice runs, campers concluded that success on the course required quick feet, tight turns and a high line. We had many exciting runs this afternoon along with a few wipe outs. As usual, the sandpits did not disappoint. After sun, sand and grit, we enjoyed some fruit & veggie popsicle treats and a very refreshing dunk in our favorite secret swimming hole. The fun was back ON again by 6:30pm as the campers gathered for relays, jello-drop and their newly minted ELITEAM 2017 t-shirts. It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of the week already. It’s been another great week here at ELITEAM! We’ll see you tomorrow at 10am for the ELITEAM Olympics.
What is the best part of Sufferfest and why?
Russell- The coaches because they are very encouraging and helpful.

Coaches Corner:
Coach Ben: It was amazing to see representatives from last year’s Europa Cup in this year’s sand pit final. Chloe transitioning seamlessly to WC by taking the win was a highlight as was seeing her smiling the whole way down.
Coach Zack: As Ethan ran by me in the sandpit slalom he screamed “Conor is going to run me over”. Fortunately Ethan torched Conor on the run.
Coach Tasha: Riley B’s shoe came off during the box jumps and she didn’t skip a beat. “Eliteam prepares me for the worst and the best of times”
Coach Sami: I loved hearing from Chloe that “so sad we only have one day left”
Coach Conor: It was awesome hearing Alex Krupa exclaim “once I do these rock curls i’ll have bigger arms than Zack!”
