Tuesdays at ELITEAM = LEGENDARY.
Why? Because we “jump” straight into the fire — sprinting, hopping, lunging, and tucking our way through the toughest (and most fun) day of the week. It’s what we like to call Voluntary Suffering… and the campers crushed it.
Morning Mayhem: Legs, Legs, and More Legs
We kicked off with a 90-minute leg shredder that tested strength, power, and mental grit. Coach Jimmy led the charge, with every coach rallying campers through a workout that would make a pro team sweat. The biggest Quad Crusher? The Backwards Tuck Walk — 2 straight minutes of burning glutes and laughs. Fan favorite? The Partner Squat & Sprint Combo — part workout, part race, all teamwork.
Agility Gauntlet: Choose Your Adventure
Next up: Agility Rotations! Campers cycled through four epic challenges designed to boost speed, coordination, and reactions:
Quickfeet Slalom: Dart, dodge, weave – while navigating ruts and surprises
BlazePod Battle: Lightning-fast reflexes and high fives all around
Obstacle Course: 19 seconds of pure intensity — sprints, hops, jumps, go!
Berg Und Thal: A 35-year camper favorite and still undefeated in fun
Refuel & Recharge
Lunch was a crowd-pleaser: Pasta and Chicken Caesar wraps = happy campers. Then it was into the Notebook Meeting, where we dove deep into Sports Physiology — learning how strength, speed, and toughness fuel elite performance. Because when athletes know the WHY, they go ALL IN on the HOW.
Strength Circuit: Feel the Burn
Afternoon workouts hit every muscle group — arms, core, and (yes, again) legs. The infamous Tabata Core Series had abs on fire and our Three-Minute Tuck Hold pushed everyone to the limit. But guess what? They didn’t quit. Not even close.
Mountain Bikes & Mayhem
Later, we got fitted and tested bikes for tomorrow’s ride — safety first, stoke second! But the true chaos came with Water Balloon Madness + Slip ‘n Slide Chaos. Let’s just say: it escalated quickly. From precision water balloon tosses to full-throttle Slip ‘n Slide runs, it was controlled chaos on a wet piece of plastic. Screams, splashes, belly flops — and a lot of laughter.
Evening Energy: Dodgeball + Agility Poles
We wrapped up the day with high-speed dodgeball and an Agility Poles showdown. And then? Lights out and deep sleep by 9PM.

- Tommy R: It requires lots of focused energy and speed. It was fun and I think I did really well.
- Teddy T: First we did normal laps but as we went on as added people to try to distract you. You need very good physical and mental agility.
- James V: The Quickfeet SL is fast, fun and challenging.
- Iver H: It was very fast moving and you have to sprint back up the hill after you’re done with the course.
- Addison B: It’s like running a really tight slalom where you body staying in one place and you block the poles out of your way.

What did you learn about strength training today that will help you be better at your sport?
- Jake V: That strength can help you in ruts. Strength also helps you power through turns.
- Tommy R: I learned a lot about different types of exercises and what they do. Training everything is important because a lot of different muscles are used in ski racing.
- Teddy T: I learned a lot of core workouts. Crunches, plans, cherry pickers ect ect
- James V: Your core needs to be strong because it is your base and will help you in any sport.
- Iver H: Core helps with holding positions such as tucks.
- Addison B: I learned it is better to have multiple good reps on an easier variation of an exercise than 1 or 2 reps on a harder variation.
- Zach Y: To do a core workout everyday. And to get at least 7 hours of sleep.
