Eliteam helped shape many fundamental building blocks that I have carried through life. The physical, nutritional and especially the psychological elements shaped my goals and lifestyle from early years as a camper, then as a coach, and now as a parent.

Doug and Kelley bring a wealth of knowledge and huge energy every day! With campers from all over, not just a ski racing background, they do an amazing job of inclusion and camp comradery.

The staff’s enthusiasm and coaching made challenging physical activities fun! As for cooking, my skills may not have progressed much, but the “Hobartenkamm” taught me how to be one of the fastest dishwashers in my house. The psychology and visualization skills helped carry me through many years of ski racing, and later as a business owner.

I still run into, and stay in contact with friendships I made during my years at Eliteam. My times at Eliteam remain some of the best, most challenging and ultimately rewarding years of my childhood.

We have a Europa Cup camper coming this summer!

My boys absolutely LOVED your camp! They will most certainly be back next year. They learned so much! We hadn’t been home for more than 1 hour and they had set up a slalom in the front yard. They were timing each other and sprinting back up the hill. They even got their old mom to do it! Thanks!

Doug and Kelley Lewis have brought their ELITEAM dryland training to Ski Butternut for the past three Falls and have been instrumental in getting our racers excited about pre-season training and pushing their own limits.  Through these clinics and Doug and Kelley’s extraordinary energy and unrivaled ability to connect with young athletes, ELITEAM has raised the bar for ski-specific fitness at our mountain.

When we heard about the opportunity to host a fall ELITEAM camp at our home hill, we jumped at the chance.  The camp filled in just a few days and since then club members have asked time and time again when the ELITEAM program will return.  I can’t say enough about Doug and Kelley’s knowledge of all aspects of fitness from fresh, fun and intense workouts to creative mental and nutritional exercises.  The program inspired  every racer on the hill from the youngest to the most seasoned athlete.

First a huge thank you for the inspirational weekend you provided for my daughter. The Girls Power Camp Weekend went well beyond any expectations we might have had. I could tell from the gleam in my daughter’s eye that the weekend was an amazing experience (Yes that does include the 3:30 am hike). She spoke to us in detail about each workshop and activity. She was amazed at the different photos you had of the athletes and models. Being athletically built in comparison to her more very slim friends; it helped improve how she perceives herself. She also found the stress management work shop helpful; and more importantly that she is not the only one that feels the stress and anxiety sometimes. I asked what was the most important thing she got out of the weekend and her response was confidence. As a parent of young girl who can tend to lack confidence, I send you a huge THANK YOU!  We went thru the GPC Notebook you sent home and I learned how much what I think plays an important part in my daughters racing. This weekend resonated with her so much. Not only did you make a lasting impression, but your fellow coaches where amazing role models for these young girls. A huge thank you from a much appreciative parent.

Eliteam is a great experience for both boys and girls though I have to say that you seem to have really keyed into a camp experience that resonates with girls. My daughter liked the combination of physical challenges and intellectual stimulation (such as the 6 workshops), the presence of positive young women as coaches and role models with a range of athletic and academic backgrounds (all will a level of achievement), and how you created an atmosphere of camaraderie and bonding among the girls.

My daughter has struggled with her self-esteem over the last two years and ever since camp I have seen a transformation in her. She no longer looks at her body as fat but fit. She got the most out of your camp! It has been the most rewarding experience for her and me.
