Through sports I've learned that 90% of success is due to mental strength and toughness. Where's there's a will, there's a way.

What I love most about Eliteam:
Seeing campers push their limits and being surprised by what they can accomplish when the step outside of their comfort zone.

Nickname:
Dan-o. Beeze. Show stopper, DB.

Education:
Graduate of the Green Mountain Valley School. Will be a senior at Bates College this Fall 2014.

Camper- 1
Counselor- 1
Coach- 5

Competitive Sports Background:
Ski racer at GMVS. Lacrosse goalie at Bates College. Ski coach at Gould Academy.

Other Sports/Activities I like:
Hiking, mountain biking, jumping off tall things into water, and anything else that is adventurous and gives you an adrenaline rush!

Coaching Experience:
This is my 5th year coaching for ELITEAM, experiencing both the Vermont and Park City camps. I've coached numerous GMVS race camps in the past, and have coached for Gould Academy's Competition Program for the past two Winters.

Favorite Eliteam workout:
Hiking Mad River!

Favorite Eliteam memory as a camper:
Dancing to Born to be Wild at the end of camp.

Favorite Dance Move:
Meat Grinder. No question.

Personal/Fitness Goals for 2015:
Stay healthy, run a Tough Mudder, start yoga, and learn how to alpine tour this winter.

When I'm not coaching at Eliteam, I'm...
Practicing for the ELITEAM Jello Drop, skiing with coach Molly MacLeod at Gould, and watching (ELITEAM coach) Andrew Whiteford ski videos!

Memorable ELITEAM moment:
Winning the Jello Drop as a camper without dropping a single piece of jello.

Unusual Talent:
I can wiggle my ears.

Favorite “power” food/fuel-
Banana and peanut butter.

Advice to young athletes:
Stay positive, challenge yourself, and remember to have fun.
